=====================  Hazards Identification  =====================

Routes of Entry: Inhalation:YES  Skin:NO  Ingestion:YES
Reports of Carcinogenicity:NTP:YES    IARC:YES	  OSHA:NO
Health Hazards Acute and Chronic:OVEREXPOSURE TO LEAD FUMES OVER AN
    EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME CAN RESULT IN SUCH TOXIC EFFECTS AS CENTRAL
    NERVOUS SYSTEM DISTURBANCES, RENAL CHANGES, PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY,
    GASTROINTESTINAL DISTURBANCE, ANEMIA, & CHROMOSOMAL CHANGES. OIL
    VAPORS MAY CAUSE IRRITATION OF EYES/UPPER RESPIRATORY TRACT/SKIN
    IRRITATION.
Explanation of Carcinogenicity:SEE INGREDIENTS.
Effects of Overexposure:BURNS CAN RESULT, IF METAL IS HOT & TOUCHED.
    WELDING & PLASMA CUTTING OF ALLOYS HIGH IN COPPER MAY PRESENT THE
    POTENTIAL FOR OVEREXPOSURE TO COPPER FUMES WHICH CAN RESULT IN
    UPPER RESPIRATORY TRACT IR RITATION, NAUSEA, & METAL FUME FEVER.

=======================  First Aid Measures  =======================

First Aid:INHALATION: REMOVE TO FRESH AIR. EYES: FLUSH THOROUGHLY
    W/WATER TO REMOVE PARTICULATE. SKIN: REMOVE PARTICLES BY WASHING
    THOROUGHLY W/SOAP & WATER. INGESTION: OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION IN
    ALL CASES.

=====================  Fire Fighting Measures  =====================

Extinguishing Media:FOR MOLTEN ALUMINUM USE DRY POWDER OR SAND. DON'T
    USE WATER OR HALOGEN AGENTS ON MOLTEN ALUMINUM.
Unusual Fire/Explosion Hazard:DAMP ALUMINUM DUST MAY SPONTANEOUSLY HEAT
    W/LIBERATION OF HYDROGEN TO FORM EXPLOSIVE AIR MIXTURES. FINELY
    DIVIDED ALUMINUM WILL FORM EXPLOSIVE MIXTURES IN/AIR.

==================  Accidental Release Measures  ==================

Spill Release Procedures:FINE TURNINGS & SMALL CHIPS SHOULD BE SWEPT OR
    VACUUMED. SCRAP METAL CAN BE RECLAIMED FOR REUSE.

======================	Handling and Storage  ======================

Handling and Storage Precautions:MOISTURE MUST BE DRIVEN OFF PRIOR TO
    REMELTING. DON'T TOUCH CAST ALUMINUM METAL/HEATED ALUMINUM. MUST BE
    STRESS-RELIEVED TO PREVENT EXPLOSION.
Other Precautions:SOME ALUMINUM SCRAP MAY BE CONTAMINATED W/OIL AT
    LEVELS AT >1%. VAPOR DEGREASER MUST BE PROPERLY MAINTAINED TO LIMIT
    THE ACCUMULATION OF ALUMINUM FINES. REMELTING SCRAP IN THE PRESENCE
    OF MOISTURE/STR ONG OXIDIZERS COULD CAUSE AN EXPLOSION.

=============  Exposure Controls/Personal Protection  =============

Respiratory Protection:APPROPRIATE DUST/MIST/FUME RESPIRATOR SHOULD BE
    USED TO AVOID EXCESSIVE INHALATION OF PARTICULATES. IF EXPOSURE
    LIMITS ARE REACHED OR EXCEEDED, USE NIOSH APPROVED EQUIPMENT.
Protective Gloves:AS REQUIRED
Eye Protection:SAFETY GLASSES & FACE SHIELDS
Other Protective Equipment:AS REQUIRED
Supplemental Safety and Health
FOR STANDARD OPERATIONS (MELTING/CUTTING/GRINDING), ALUMINUM ALLOYS
    PRESENT A LOW HEALTH HAZARD.
